Ky-Mani Marley was born February 26, 1976, at Falmouth Jamaica. He is among the most wealthy and famous Reggae singers. He was in Shottas together with another vocalist Wyclef. Ky-Mani signed with Shang Records for his 1996 debut album Like Father Like Son album and singles like Judge Not (with Patra), Dear Dad", (which was the top single on the British reggae chart),"Who the Cap (remix), Sensimelia and more all added to the increasing recognition for his latest generation of reggae. In 1997, Ky-Mani formed a band with Praswell (Fugees) to record Avenue which was a smash cover from Eddy Grant's Electric Avenue. Marley first performed at the Cameo Theatre in Miami at Midem. In the Cameo Theatre Marley performed a performance that was broadcast live on the Caribbean News Agency to 36 nations. Marley found himself in a bidding battle. He joined Gee Street/V2 Records.
